Warren gets moving at 2008 Australian Title

February 5, 2008

The second race night for Warren Ferguson and the Deco
Glaze, Fruitwheels, Visual Impact team was the
much-anticipated 2008 Australian Title that commenced on
January 31st at Parramatta City Raceway.

Unfortunately heavy rain has played havoc with the event
and it’s 90 entries, with only time trials and heats being
contested after four days of trying to beat the weather.
Due to this the finals night has been postponed until
Saturday February 9th.

Warren finds himself in 39th position on points and in the
B main on finals night. A pleasing result given that the
team is still tuning the car after very little track time.
Thursday night saw the Deco Glaze 32n car 26th in time
trials from the 45 competitors before the rain. Saturday
night showed a lot of promise with Warren posting a time
inside the top ten during hot laps, and backed this up with
a 2nd and 7th place in the heats.

“Every time I race the new car we find something else which
makes it more comfortable to drive” said Warren. “The speed
is starting to show after some chassis changes and throttle
adjustments since the last race, I’m really looking forward
to the finals night.”

A big thank you goes out to the team sponsors Deco Glaze -
Jason, Fruitwheels - Les and Visual Impact - Simon, our
loyal supporters and crew of Lisa, Mark, Jason, Scotty, Mum
and Dad, Kirstin who have all had a frustrating few days
fighting the weather.
