Great result for Warren Ferguson

February 25, 2008

With Deco Glaze director Jason Hedges and a number of his
staff in the stands, the pressure was on for a great night
from Warren and the Ferguson Autosports team. Nobody left
disappointed.

The night began with the team trying a slightly different
set up which netted a 7th place in time trials with a 12.34
second lap. A great start out of the 46 cars on hand, but
this saw Warren handicapped to the third row of his heat
for the second week in a row.

In what was the toughest heat of the night, Warren
challenged Brett Loadsman for the entire race distance but
came up one spot short of a transfer to the A-main by
finishing 6th, forcing the Deco Glaze, Fruitwheels, Visual
Impact car to qualify through the B main.

“Our car was performing great, the team working well, just
that one spot and we would have been in the dash also”
commented Warren, “Still our confidence was high as the set
up changes made the car really comfortable to drive and we
were looking forward to night getting better”.

Better it was with a fine win in the B-main transferring
the N32 Eagle to the A-main and starting from position 17.
A steady start saw Warren moving forward but somewhat
blocked by the cars in front when a red light stoppage
changed the race. From this point Warren passed 7 more cars
moving up to a fine 7th place finish and running down the
leaders on a track which saw a top and a bottom groove by
the end of the race which allowed for passing.

“I’m really happy for our team and supporters – Deco Glaze,
Fruitwheels and Visual Impact, they have all put in a big
effort since getting this team off the ground and I think
this is the beginning of things to come” said Warren.
