Ferguson Returns to Track Boxing Day
December 21, 2008
After missing the last two PCR races due to an engine rebuild, Warren Ferguson looks forward to getting back behind the wheel of the Deco Glaze number 32 sprintcar.
By Warren's own admission it has been a tough start to the season with results going begging for one reason or another. Things didn't get any better when a routine engine freshen found more work than expected, with new parts having to be ordered from the USA.
"Its been frustrating, just ask my girlfriend who's been putting up with me!!" said Warren, "In saying that, we are a team on a budget, we have one motor and it needed work. Our focus was to make sure we hit the big Sydney shows through January and get our sponsors, Deco Glaze, Fruitwheels, Visual Impact and G&S Forklifts the best marketing we could. Hopefully later in the season if things are working out we may be able to pick up a couple of other races somewhere".
The team have prepared the car while the engine is finished and expect to install it on Christmas eve.
"The whole team are keen to go racing, its a bit of a Christmas present you could say" added Warren.
With no illusions, the team know the Boxing Day race will be tough. There will be plenty of international competition and the team will focus on a solid A-main result as they head into a busy January. There are eight nights of racing for the Ferguson Autosports team at PCR between Boxing Day and January 17th.
Be sure to call by and say hello to the team or follow our website www.warrenferguson.com for result updates.
Ends release.
